GM workers in U.S. ratify contract as 40-day strike comes to an end

General Motors factory workers in the U.S. ratified a new contract. The deal includes a mix of wage increases and lump-sum payments and an $11,000 US signing bonus. GM will close three U.S. factories that make slow-selling cars and transmissions.
