Catalonia paralyzed by 5th day of protests against the jailing of pro-independence leaders

Spain's Catalonia region has been paralyzed by a fifth day of protests. Thousands of people from five inland communities jammed highways as they marched to Barcelona to link up with students and workers taking part in a general strike. The wave of protests follow the jailing of nine politicians who led an independence push in 2017.
