Christine Lagarde, Ursula von der Leyen nominated for senior EU posts

EU leaders have nominated France's Christine Lagarde to be the new head of the European Central Bank. Ursula von der Leyen will become head of the European Commission if the appointments are endorsed by the European Parliament.
