U.S. President Donald Trump has named Mick Mulvaney as interim White House chief of staff. He will take on the post when John Kelly steps down next month. Mulvaney is a former congressman and currently heads the White House's budget office. The announcement comes hours after former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie withdrew his name from consideration.
