Tropical storm Michael to be hurricane by midweek, hundreds evacuated in Honduras, Florida declares emergency

The U.S. National Hurricane Center says newly named Tropical Storm Michael could strengthen to a hurricane as it heads to the Florida Panhandle. Hundreds have evacuated in Honduras and the governor of Florida has declared a state of emergency. The hurricane centre upgraded the tropical depression in the Caribbean to a named tropical storm, Sunday, saying it had winds of up to 65 kmph. It's expected to make landfall Wednesday.
