1 dead as L.A. police arrest gunman holding hostages at supermarket after shooting grandmother and girlfriend

Los Angeles police say a gunman is in custody after taking hostages inside a busy supermarket . On Saturday afternoon police surrounded a Trader Joe's after a suspected shooter ran inside the store. Officers say the gunman led police on a pursuit after shooting his grandmother and girlfriend. The suspect was holding about 40 bystanders inside the store hostage. One person was killed in the standoff.
