Canadian officials have held two face-to-face meetings with North Korean authorities this week. One of them involved Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland at a meeting of Asia-Pacific foreign ministers. The meetings were held as rhetoric and threats between Washington and Pyongyang escalated.
