IOC president defends new filtering process for Russian athletes at press conference

During a press conference on Sunday, the President of the IOC defended the new filtering process in place for Russian athletes. The IOC has set up a 3-person panel that is to review 250 cases before having the final say on which Russian athletes can compete in the Rio de Janeiro Games. Last week, the IOC had said that the responsibility rested with individual sport bodies.
