U.S. troops abandon Kurdish fighters as Turkey prepares invasion of Syria

U.S. troops have begun withdrawing from areas inside northeastern Syria near the Turkish border, say Kurdish forces. The Kurdish fighters were backed by the U.S. in the fight against Islamic State but Turkey considers them enemies. Turkey wants to resettle 2 million Syrian refugees in the area.
