U.K. Parliament is formally suspended for 5 weeks

The U.K. government has formally suspended Parliament for five weeks as Prime Minister Boris Johnson tries to buy time and make a new deal to take the U.K. out of the EU by Oct. 31. But parliament refused Johnson's call for a snap election. Britain is currently headed for a no-deal Brexit.
