Israel's President Rivlin asks PM Netanyahu to form government after talks for unity gov't fail

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin has given Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the task of forming a new government. The decision comes after an election, early this month, again failed to produce a clear winner. The President has failed to broker a unity government between Netanyahu and his chief rival, Benny Gantz. Netanyahu has up to six weeks to try and form a coalition.
