Nobel laureate Toni Morrison dies at 88

American writer Toni Morrison, who won a Nobel prize for literature has died. Morrison wrote fiction about black American life and became one of the most important voices in literature through works such as Beloved and Song of Solomon. She was also a mentor to writers of colour. Morrison was 88.
