A flicker of hope in the insect world: Firefly, monarch butterfly numbers up, say Ont. researchers

More fireflies, which are important in getting rid of pest species, are flickering across Eastern Canada this summer compared to recent years, says a researcher at Ontario's University of Guelph, and a colleague is also finding an increase in monarch butterfly populations.
