North-American markets tank as Beijing responds to Washington's new tariff hike with it's own increased levy

China imposes new tariffs ranging from 5 to 25% on $60 billion worth of U.S. imports, in response to Washington's latest tariff hike of 10 to 25% on $200 billion of Chinese goods. The Dow Jones opened more than 500 down after China revealed its measures, dragging down other North-American markets.
