The Hamilton sign, used in times of victory and tragedy, turns 1

Hamilton's eponymous sign — eight white letters stretching across the city hall forecourt — is turning one. The city unveiled the sign at an event one year ago today. It paid Hamilton Scenic Specialty $300,000 to build it, and a dozen groups, individuals and families funded it.
