The first shipment of humanitarian aid has arrived in Venezuela, which has been dealing with a dire economic crisis. Previous efforts to deliver assistance had been blocked by President Nicolas Maduro, who recently said that he had reached an agreement with the Red Cross. This comes as Maduro is trying to hold onto power, as most western nations, including Canada, recognise opposition leader Juan Guido as the rightful leader.
