PM cancels Regina trip after Jane Philpott resignation, will spend day in Ottawa for private meetings

Prime Minister Trudeau's Tuesday visit to Regina has been cancelled. The prime minister's office says Trudeau will instead spend the day in Ottawa taking part in private meetings. The prime minister had two appearances scheduled, including an appearance Tuesday night, at a party fundraiser. The cancellation comes one day after Treasury Board president Jane Philpott resigned from cabinet. Philpott is the second minister to leave the Trudeau cabinet amid the on-going SNC-Lavalin affair.
