Suspect in hostage-taking dead after overnight standoff with police in Inukjuak, Que.

A 40-year-old man was shot and killed by police, Quebec's Bureau of Independent Investigations (BEI) said, after firing a rifle several times in the direction of a house in Inukjuak, a remote village on Hudson Bay, Tuesday night.
