
An emergency situation is unfolding in Japan after a magnitude 6.6 earthquake struck Japan's northern Island of Hokkaido around 3am, local time. Officials say at least two people were killed and dozens more are feared missing or injured after the tremors caused several landslides. About 3 million are without power. Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe says 25,000 troops and other personnel were being deployed to help with rescue operations.
