Syria's foreign minister Walid al-Moualem says government forces will "go all the way" to clear the northern region of Idlib of militants who now control it. The UN has warned that a military offensive could become a humanitarian disaster for nearly 3 million civilians in the region, and has warned Syria against the use of chemical weapons. Al Moualem says the army did not have chemical weapons - and would try to avoid civilians deaths.
