Ottawa posts $3.2 billion surplus for the first two months of the fiscal year

The federal government ran a budget surplus of $641 million in the second month of its fiscal year 2018-19 due to higher tax revenues. For the first two months of the year, Ottawa had a surplus of $3.2 billion, compared to a surplus of $68 million for the same period last year.
