Plans for early snow crab fishing season underway to protect right whales, says DFO

Fisheries and Oceans is coming up with a plan to start the snow crab fishing season earlier to protect North Atlantic right whales from entanglement and Transport Canada is reviewing the fines it can issue to ships that breaks speed limits designed to protect the endangered whales.
