Alabama's black voters sent Doug Jones to the U.S. Senate. It could be a model for 2018

In spite of race, in spite of partisanship, and in spite of voter suppression laws, it was black voters in Alabama who delivered an astonishing victory for Democratic senator-elect Doug Jones on Tuesday night. The question for Democrats now is whether that can happen again in the 2018 elections.
