Liberal bill would automatically increase user fees for federal services by rate of inflation

The Liberals have introduced legislation that would hike hundreds of user fees for things like passports, fishing licences and campsite permits. The new bill would automatically increase most fees by the rate of inflation each year, and give departments more of a free hand to ask for further increases to match their costs.
