A powerful earthquake has rattled New Zealand. The U.S. Geological Survey says the epicentre of the magnitude 7.8 tremor was about 90 kilometres north of Christchurch. So far, there are no reports of damage or injuries - but shaking was felt hundreds of kilometres away in the capital, Wellington, and in Auckland.
