Nobel prize in economics focuses on 'contract theory'

U.K.-born Oliver Hart and Finland-born Bengt Holmstrom have jointly won the Nobel economics prize for their contributions to contract theory. Their findings on incomplete contracts have shed new light on the ownership and control of businesses and the pitfalls in society's many contracts.
