U.S. economy adds 151,000 new jobs in January

U.S. unemployment fell to 4.9% in January after employers added new 151,000 jobs. But hiring decelerated from recent months as companies shed education, transportation and temporary workers. Manufacturing, retail and food services saw an uptick in hiring.
