Payroll screw-up at Justice Canada worth up to $50M in lawyers' favour

CBC News has learned that the federal Justice Department has never publicly reported a payroll glitch that may have benefited its employees by up to $50 million, going back to 2007. A source says embarrassed officials tried to sweep the problem under the rug, but the department officials say it's just a clerical problem.
